I am very excited to announce that my short film Gone Before Your Eyes is a semi-finalist for Pano’s inaugural Color Grading Grant!
Gone Before Your Eyes
It was absolutely extraordinary to watch my film Gone Before Your Eyes finally come to life.
I am so grateful to the many people who helped me from script to screen. It really does take a village.
Now back to work on the edit!
Uber and the New Future of Work
It was a very busy fall. I traveled to seven cities across the U.S. directing and producing shoots. One of the projects I’ve been working on is this series for Morgan Stanley, Exceptional Leaders/Exceptional Ideas.
I directed this episode of ELEI in San Francisco where Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi talks about Uber and the new future of work.
STRUT on Revry TV
The award-winning pilot for Strut will be available to watch on Revry TV starting this Friday!
I produced the pilot for Misha Calvert’s series, and I loved working on this project that portrays female sexuality in a positive and playful way.
Strut was a part of the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival Creators Market. It won Best Screenwriting and Best Comedy at the Hollyweb Festival, Best Web Series at Hollywood Comedy Shorts, Best Pilot at the New Zealand Web Festival, Best Supporting Actress at the NYC Indie Film Festival, and Best Web Series at the Terminus Film Festival.
Safety on Set
I recently sat down with Sprout Video's creative director Nick LaClair and a mezcalita to discuss staying safe on set during the pandemic. You can watch our discussion here.
Taking New Steps is now available to watch for free!
The short documentary I directed about the Dancing Classrooms Youth Dance Company’s trip to Israel is now available to watch on the Breaker App for free!
Our documentary follows this young group of dancers on their trip to perform at the Karmiel Dance Festival. Many of these young dancers had never traveled outside of the US. It was amazing to them connect to Arab and Israeli youth through the power of dance.
ACLS Centennial Video
My production company, Trigger Creative, produced this centennial video for the American Council of Learned Societies.
We were able to film in the main branch of the New York Public Library. As we were filming, I couldn’t stop thinking about the iconic scenes that had been filmed at that very location. Scenes from Ghostbusters, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Spiderman. Needless to say, we were in very good company.
Karlie Kloss and a free Mustang
I had another chance to direct the beautiful Karlie Kloss in this video for Ford and Omaze.
What strikes me about Karlie Kloss is her dedication to empowering young women to code through her intiative Code with Klossy.
Strut at the Soho Film Festival
I represented Strut at this year’s Soho Film Festival with the show creator Misha Calvert and actress Christina Toth. I produced the pilot for this female driven comedy. It has now screened at over 15 film festivals and won numerous awards including Best Screenwriting and Best Comedy at the Hollyweb Film Festival, Best Pilot at the New Zealand Web Festival and Best Web Series at the NYC Indie Film Festival, Hollywood Comedy Shorts and Terminus Film Festivals. Strut was also a part of the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival’s Creators Market. Needless to say, I am a proud producer.
Mountainfilm
I had the privilege of attending Telluride’s Mountainfilm Festival this year. Not only is this festival located in a beautiful setting, but it also hosts an incredible lineup of important social and environmental documentaries from around the world.
This was one of my all time favorite film festival experiences. Although I saw some incredibly heartbreaking documentaries, there were some very important discussions taking place during this festival. I return to New York filled with fresh inspiration and conviction that film can change the world.
Gramatik at the Zenith
In the fall of 2017, I spent two month in Europe producing a documentary that followed DJ/music producer Gramatik. Here’s a short trailer from his show in Paris at the Zenith.
Taking New Steps Trailer
Here is the trailer for the short documentary that I directed, Taking New Steps.
FORD + KODE WITH KLOSSY
Last fall, I traveled to Detroit to direct this video about Ford’s collaboration with Kode with Klossy.
Diane opening in Theaters march 29th
One of my absolute favorite on camera acting experiences was being a small part of the incredible cast of Diane.
Diane opens in theater, and will be released on VOD this Friday, March 29th. Do yourself a favor and see this beautiful film!
The Last screening in New York
I was lucky enough to have a small role in Jeff Lipsky’s latest film, The Last. It will be premiering at the JCC Chicago Jewish Film Festival on March 1st. It will also be playing in New York at the JCC on March 5th and it will be opening at the Agelika Film Center on March 29th.
Dream Shopping Spree with Alexander Wang!
Strut at ITVFest: The Independent Television Festival
This fall I traveled to Vermont for ITVFest with the pilot that I produced, Misha Calvert’s Strut.
Strut has now won numerous awards including Best Web Series at Hollywood Comedy Shorts and the Terminus Conference + Festival, Best Comedy and Screenwriting at the Hollyweb Festival and Best Pilot at the New Zealand Web Fest.
Taking New Steps
I just spent a week in Israel directing a short documentary, Taking New Steps.
Stay tuned for more about this project!
Pithy Party
My Writer’s Group is presenting a series of works-in-progress on June 25th at Under St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place, New York, NY). I’m having a comedy series that I’ve been writing read, and I'm directing three of the scripts.
TRIBECA
I have two projects in the Tribeca Film Festival this year.
I produced the pilot for Misha Calvert's Strut which will be a part of this year's Tribeca Film Festival's N.O.W. Creator's Lab. Strut is a female driven comedy, and Misha is a powerhouse who's currently developing 9 different projects. She's definitely someone to watch!
I also have a role in Kent Jones' feature film Diane. Diane is in the U.S. Narrative Competition at Tribeca this year. It features a phenomenal cast including Mary Kay Place, Estelle Parsons, Andrea Martin, Jake Lacy and me!
